I missed you...

You keep me warm when I am cold.
You take me places I've never been before.
You're the best ride I've ever had.
I love how you glisten in the sun.
I love to be inside you and you smell so great.
Though you are not a cheap date and
I'm always paying too much for you,
I do care for you.
Welcome Home.

(If you thought that was about anyone/anything other than my car---well then you should just be ashamed of yourself and I'm tellin' on you! SICKO!)
The Edge went away for a short time after giving us a little scare when we thought his (yes our vehicles are always male for some reason unbeknownst to me-they just are)transmission was doing something less than desirable. BUT, everything checked out fine...maybe it's these here new, "fandangled" transmissions and how they have more power than we are used to! I know you were hoping to hear that the Ford turned out to be a piece of crap after all...don't hold your breath, 4,000 miles and everything is fine so far. ;) I promise, you'll be about the third or fourth to know if it all turns to poo!

Riding along in my automobile...

Big Toe hung out in the car while we went to the chiropractor, got haircuts and picked up some Zaxby's (club sandwich with fried mushrooms...Hells Yeah!).

This photo shows some of the various essentials that a monkey named Melissa does not leave home without...some snacks, in case the blood sugar starts to get low (this time they happen to be one of my top favs--Reese Cups, Cell phone--Cookie Monster is holding it while it charges, gum, a bottle of water (which I do reuse numerous times after washing Earth lovers):), and of course the ipod that this oh so cool new car has a port for that allows you to play the ipod through your stereo...YEAH BABY YEAH! I feel so High Tech! ;)

The New Kid

Happy early Birthday to me...
Here's my new car, the oh so fun to drive, Ford Edge. I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT, I LOVE IT (said in true Molly Shannon fashion)! This car has made driving fun again...it hasn't really been all that fun since a lady totaled my car right before going to college (you know, the wreck where she hit another car and mine which split her car into two halves and the back half had her three babies in it--I know, INSANE--they recovered fine by the way). I've had two cars since that one and they've both had troubles. This is my FIRST brand new car and I hope to drive it until the wheels fall off and hopefully that won't be for A LOT of years. I drove it to Macon to show it off to my family and then Julie drove it back home on the interstate...we picked up Lennye and Freda then drove over to Angie's house to say "hello." It was fun playing limo service. Lennye and Freda like how well they fit in the backseat, so we have to get on the ball and plan a limo service trip to visit Sarah's new house.
