Thirteen

The day I ranted about having teachers stare into my windows from recess...rudeness.

That is WRETCHEDLY inconsiderate - not only to you and your students, but also to the OTHER 4th grade teachers who have to watch her kids while she grades!!! That would really burn my biscuits. :( I HATE that you have to cover all that gorgeous natural light. :(

So I feel like I am surrounded by morons lately...glad to know you are just as frustrated as me! We should have a pow wow and compare notes! :)

Two more days until Friday!

first, i think it's incredibly apropos that she's writing 'agendas.' i'm such a fan of the double entendre.
second, since you are required to block out the outdoors (which inspires creativity, does not distract unless you're already distracted) by others who refuse to enforce boundaries here's some suggestions? (like how i said that statement as though it's a question? total junior high inflection.)
tape artwork that the kids have made to the bottom windows (maybe a 'stained glass' project?)
or they sell that stuff that you can put on glass to make it opaque. i don't know what it's called. and it might actually be permanent so it might now work for you but i think it looks awesome cause it makes the windows so that you can't see through them but doesn't block out the light.
or tape up paper and write on the pieces that face outward:
'hey, teacher, turn around and watch your children. that's your job. the kids have to do their homework on their own time. so do you."
