Cupcakes

Thought for the day (actually not just today but several days):
We want to own a cupcake shop...how fun would that be?! Think about it...if the downtown building had an upstairs, someone could do their photography studio up there...and someone could have a bookstore included along with a coffee shop...all my friends and the things they love included in one awesome shop...that would be too radical! NATURALLY we'd have to have free wi-fi running throughout the joint! Wouldn't want any of us having DT's. ;)

Oooh, pick me, pick me! I want to be the photographer upstairs!! Though I have to admit--my funk has extended to my photography skilz. Had a very "am I really good enough to do this for money?" kind of day today. Yuck. Spent hours looking at other people's awesome photography and just got greener and greener.

I know that kind of funk...the am I good at anything I do at all?? kind of funk...it will pass eventually. I go through those reoccurring funks here and there---esp. when I'm tired or the weather is dreary. You obviously ARE good enough to make money from your photography because you have...your photography has paid bills and fed your kid. Those people aren't even really great photographers they are just DAMN good at photoshop and spend hours of their life retouching photos...plus they have been doing it a while longer probably and have a butt-load of equipment. Your photos are great and keep getting better! The internet is an evil demon when it comes to trying to feel good about yourself and what you do at times!

I just love reading what you two say to one another...There's no way I could add any more or say any more than what you two have...You're both like cheerleaders for each other and it gives me the greatest lift just to read your blogs....Squash, you've got to feel better now with all the good stuff our little Monkey has said....We all have talents and we all doubt ourselves all the time...Is that what makes us stronger? Separates us from the "lower animals"? Love, the Funkinator--Mama Lee

Who can follow a comment like that? Seriously. That's why we love you Monkey, always a positive vibe and word. :)

I think I could run the daycare part for the coffee shop/bookstore because let me tell you how often Nick and I have talked about that idea. Count me in, but only if I can charge $5 a head and put inflatables and playground equipment in there and conduct birthday parties. :)Of course we could provide a discount if you buy coffee/photos/books/cupcakes

Forget separating ourselves from the "lower" species...I WANT to sit in the house all day, play outside when someone decides to let me out, know if someone is good or bad just by sniffing them, and lick myself if I feel the need! ;) LOL!

I've decided my role in this new business venture....I'll be the customer...I'll drink your coffee, read your books, and drop my grandkids into the daycare to have fun....hmm...I kinda like this idea..........Monkey, I want a photo,(personally done by Squash the Photographer), of you licking your "self"...I think it would sell in the gift shop part of the store....:):) L.

Ew! NO licking photos!! Or any poo-flinging photos either (just in case Monkey decides to ever pull that one...). Heehee.

You know it is the NORM for monkeys to touch themselves in public! ;) Not this monkey however, I have much better decorum! ha!
