Exceptional News!!

Sweet Nikki is back home already...didn't even have to stay the night at the vet's office. As you can see, she looks more like the bride of Frankenstein more than a pup. I'm still scared to touch her because there's no safe place. She has 7 wounds. One is her ear where they had to cut out a hematoma and the other 5 are places where she had small and large sebaceous cysts removed and one lipoma (fatty) cyst. Things like that are fairly common on Schnauzers. She has a lot of stitches! She has NO CANCER though! The one the vet was worried about turned out to be the fatty cyst, so we were so relieved. Nik has some pain pills and antibiotics and is doing fine. Tonight we have to decide how we are going to situate all of the wildebeests tomorrow...probably Nikki will be sequestered in part of the kitchen by herself while we're at work so that she can't jump up and down off the bed or have someone mess with her stitches while we are gone. That could be a big, gross mess! BLAH!

I feel so much better! Just worn out. After the Art show is over, I know I'm going to rest very well this weekend! :)

So proud to hear the good news about Nikki. I can't wait for the Art Show - it is going to be great...even if there is not a big crowd! Thanks for the wonderful year book - too cute:)

Great News for Nikki and family! You could bring her to work and hide her in the back room! 5th grade will be gone most of the day.

Yea!! I'm so glad to hear the good news. :) Her stitches are like little doggy tattoos--she's got street cred now. Haha!
