Hmm...one of those not so great "firsts"

Yep, that "maker of frownie faces" is my very first grey hair (sorry but grey looks way more wicked awesome to me with an 'e' instead of an 'a'.) My very first grey hair, blah! I'm not all that affected by it (I like to show off my skills of the proper usage of 'affect' and 'effect' too Sarah) ;) but it is one of those things that for most people doesn't happen in your twenties and so when you turn thirty and BOOM! there it is, it's like 'nah, nah, you're getting older...' Like one of those playground bullies that when nobody is listening, you tell the other children it's certainly OK to punch him in the face if he keeps it up!

Julie thought it was just the most precious, adorable thing she had ever seen. By the time she had asked permission to snatch it out of my head, she had already picked out a name for it and was on her way to Target to buy cute polka-dotted dresses and jumpers for it. I, however was much more underwhelmed. She's just been wishing one of these on me for a few years now, so it was like a mama when you first get your period or boobs...you just would rather be dead while she's gushing over how you're now a woman and all these other things that you wish would have never come out of her mouth. Thank GOD we don't ever have to relieve those days!

I'm just SOOOO glad that THIS time, there's no God-awful, makes me want to hurt somebody, itchy, training bra to hold up something that was barely even there in the first place! ;)

if it's any consolation...i've found NESTS of grey hair on my head. it's as though coarse, non-pigmented follicles hide in the department store after closing and come to life when the security guards (aka: hair dyes) are not paying attention. much like kim cattrall in mannequin. without, of course, the misogynistic undertone.

My fiance already has greys and he's only 23. I like to tease him.
by the way, I always spell grey with an "e" too.
